Camera Lens Simulator 1.2

The application is designed for photography enthusiasts seeking to enhance their understanding of lens viewing angles. Users can input camera parameters, such as sensor size in millimeters, either manually or from a predefined list, along with lens specifications including minimum and maximum focal lengths.

Utilizing the phone's built-in camera, lens simulation graphically illustrates the viewing angle. If the phone's angle of view is wider than that of the selected lens, the displayed image is proportionally reduced. It is worth noting that the digital zoom feature, currently under development, may yield inaccurate results at the narrow end of the lens due to limitations in camera enlargement capabilities.

The application also facilitates direct comparisons between two lenses by allowing users to input relevant camera and lens parameters. The graphical representation of the viewing angles is complemented by depth of field (DOF) calculations for each configuration. These calculations take into account both the aperture settings and the distance to the subject.

Users can effortlessly adjust the focal length by swiping vertically on the left side of the screen or by tapping the focus icon (F). Similarly, aperture adjustments can be made either through horizontal swipes or by selecting the designated aperture icon. Depth of field distances can be modified via vertical swipes on the right side or by pressing the DOF icon (represented by a fir tree).
